Kellian Summers is a Trial Attorney specializing in complex, high
exposure cases involving catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death,
product defect, and civil rights. Kellian is a fierce advocate for her
clients. She believes every client has a story to be told and considers it a
privilege to be the one to tell it. Few are as personable, passionate, and
perceptive as Kellian is with each of her clients and their families.
Kellian is the rare litigator who understands civil cases from every angle
at both the state and federal level. Prior to joining the firm, Kellian was a
Partner at a preeminent litigation firm where she spent nearly a decade
on the trial team led by one of the nation's most sought out civil defense
trial attorneys. While there, Kellian regularly obtained outstanding results
for her clients who were facing claims involving constitutional violations
such as excessive use of force, assault, battery, and false
arrest/imprisonment, as well as claims involving catastrophic personal
injury, product defect, sexual molestation of a child, dangerous condition
of public property, and class actions.
Having defended high-profile clients in high-exposure cases for several
years, Kellian understands what the other side is doing and considering
at every turn. This insight informs her efficient and effective litigation
style of achieving fantastic results for her clients when it may otherwise
have taken years to do so. Her results speak for themselves. Most
recently, Kellian took over a motorcycle v. SUV case with disputed
liability and no offers on the table from defense. Within six months of her
handling the case, Kellian got the defense to admit liability and tender
the full $2.25 million policy limits without having taken a single
deposition. In another heavily disputed liability case involving a
motorcycle v. tractor-trailer, Kellian secured a $3 million settlement
where defendants’ prior offers barely hit six-figures. Her sharp eye for
detail and relentless pursuit of accountability and justice is unmatched.
Kellian graduated from the University of Southern California with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Thereafter, she earned her
Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School where she served as Chair of
the Trial Advocacy Honors Program and was routinely awarded Best
Advocate in mock trial competitions. Upon graduation, Kellian was
selected to participate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA)
Fellowship Honors Program; a program made available to only those in
the top 10% of their class. Her natural talent in the courtroom were
quickly recognized by both plaintiff and defense firms, and she was
chosen by ABOTA and the Dean of Southwestern Law School to receive
the “Excellence in Preparation for Trial Practice” Award. She is a member
of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Los Angeles
County Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association, and is admitted to
practice in California and United States District Court for the Central and
Northern Districts of California.
When Kellian is not busy being a lawyer, she is spending time with her
wife and daughter, and traveling any chance she gets.
